My abstract fused glass art & watercolors
Welcome to my website. Here you will find images of my fused glass art and my recently made gouaches on paper.
From 2004 I use glass fusing to make my glass sculptures. You find many of these fused glass sculptures on the website. Glass fusing gives me the possibility to create painterly and colorful glass sculptures. In the deepest of my heart I am a painter. And I love the glass as possibility to express.
From 2000 I started making series of loose abstract watercolors on paper. There is much connection between these watercolors and my fused glass art, as you can see for yourself, I believe.
In the area of modern art I work on the abstract side. For ten years 'lyrical abstraction' was a good expression to point out my way of painting on paper and with glas fusing. After 2007 my art becomes more expressive and 'basic'. The lyrical notion disappeared more and more. I increasingly enjoy using strong colours, painted with a rough brush.
